Packaging Material
Multi-ply paperboard manufactured using unbleached sulphate pulp provides maximum structural strength and tear resistance for heavy-duty industrial and retail packaging. The use of unbleached kraft board ensures high resistance to puncture and bursting, which is essential for transport boxes and beverage carriers. Its natural brown color offers a rustic appearance that is favored for organic or industrial products.
Sulphate Process
Wood fibers are cooked under high temperature and pressure with sodium hydroxide and sodium sulphide to dissolve the lignin. This chemical process preserves the natural length and strength of the cellulose fibers, creating a dense and resilient sheet. Because the pulp is not bleached, the fibers retain their natural wood color, and the material avoids the strength loss associated with chemical bleaching stages.
This makes the board much stronger than bleached alternatives of the same weight.
Structural Strength
High tear and tensile properties of this board grade make it the preferred choice for heavy-duty applications like multipacks of drinks. The strength of the unbleached kraft board prevents the packaging from tearing even when it gets damp during distribution. It is also highly compatible with protective moisture-barrier coatings, allowing it to withstand high humidity and refrigeration without losing its structural rigidity.
