Premium Substrate
Long-fibre paperboard manufactured directly from softwoods via the chemical sulfate process provides maximum strength and durability for corrugated boxes. In the formulation of virgin kraftliner, the absence of recycled fibres ensures a high density of unbroken cellulose bonds that give the paperboard outstanding tear and puncture resistance. This premium grade is specified for heavy-duty packaging and hazardous material shipping containers.
Mechanical Strength
High burst index and compression resistance are direct results of the chemical cooking process which preserves the length of the pine fibres. When using virgin kraftliner, corrugators run at high speeds because the long fibres provide wet-web strength that prevents sheet breaks. This fibre length also improves the tensile energy absorption of the final corrugated board under sudden impacts.
Packaging Durability
Resistance to damp environments and moisture absorption makes this grade the standard for agricultural and cold-chain packaging. Because virgin kraftliner resists water penetration better than recycled alternatives, boxes made from it maintain their shape in refrigerated warehouses and overseas shipping containers. This durability protects the contents from crushing during long transport cycles in difficult weather conditions, ensuring that high-value fresh food and electronic components arrive at their destinations without structural damage from box collapse.
